desert landscape

practice: composition, speed painting
I'm glad I was able to come up with different compositions but I must work on varying points of view in my drawings.
The hardest thing was to come up with proper and effective graphical signs to show each landscape. I might need to practice drawing textures to understand things I draw better.

portrait 2

Commission portrait I done recently. I enjoy painting portraits, finding things that define the person and painting them realistically. It's always important to me not only to draw face features but also to capture the personality. This is something that I truly enjoy in portraits.

Birthday Card

Birthday gift for my friend - Anna Muszewska :)
Anna is an artist in Biotechnology and constant inspiration for me. She is passionate about fungi and evolution. I hope that some day soon she can create a team of her own. She is so full of energy, ideas and always look for ways to resolve problems - both on scientific and management level. After working in best institutes in Poland and cooperating with scientists all around the world she is on the best way to success. I keep my fingers crossed for her. You can see articles on PubMed to know exactly what she is up to, but those are scientific papers so be warned :D
Anna loves scotch terriers too and I had some trouble putting fungi and terrier into one illustration. Hope you like the result.

I've been working on some other thing but it will take some more time so I done this to relax a bit. It came out much much better then usual, I applied some strong rules Thierry gave us during the workshop and it worked wonders.
I've been listening to 'Prist' movie recently (I tend to listen to movies while drawing) and that is why I drew Paul Bettany. 1h drawing + 15 min adding textures and all. Hope you like it :)
